These deep blue colored plecos are known as L-239's. These beautiful plecos are commonly found in Rio Orinoco in the Amazon, as well as Venezuela, lower Rio Guaviare, and Columbia. Despite its misleading trade name, the Blue 'Panaque' is not part of the genus Panaque - it has little or nothing in common with these large, wood-eating catfishes.
